While specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors, the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Guidelines and compliance standards match those requirements stated in OSHA 29 CFR 1926.

The student participant  will be presented with substantial safety-related information that includes the general areas of  hazard recognition,  avoidance, abatement and prevention. This includes general safety and health hazards in the workplace.  Additionally, the student will learn about OSHA and its role in establishing safety guidelines.  Within the bounds of OSHA regulation, the student will discover his/her employer responsibilities and the worker’s rights that stand along side those responsibilities.

OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. The Outreach Training must be supplemented if specific hazards are involved or when OSHA standards dictate.

Please note that the 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course is NOT equivalent to the OSHA 510 or 511 courses and will not meet the course prerequisites to take the OSHA 500 or 501 courses.

The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course can be completed in as little as four days, but the student has up to 180 days to complete the coursework. Upon passing the final exam, the student will be awarded 30 hours of IACET CEUs.

The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course is presented online by an OSHA-certified instructor. The FREE study guide you can download will help you through the material. The topical content is broken down into sections, each of which is followed by a section quiz. You must pass the quiz each section before going on to the next section. At the end of the course, you will be given a final exam. In order to receive credit for the course and get your interim card, you must pass that exam at a 70% level or above. You will be allowed to repeat the exam three times. Upon passing that final, you’ll be allowed to print out a temporary Wallet Card, while the official card is being processed by the Department of Labor.

Taking an online course has many benefits. The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course is a recommended course for most supervisors and foremen who manage safety and health issues on the job site. Taking the course on line allows you the flexibility to log in and log out during the day as your schedule allows, even if you are on different computers. Secondly, online training allows you to self-pace your coursework to your own schedule. If you’re in a hurry, you can login up to 7.5 hours per day (per OSHA requirements), and finish the course in four days. However,  you can also take up to 6 months to complete your course once you’ve started it.  It is important to note that the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Training course you take online is exactly the same material as you would get in a live course on-site. Both courses, online and on-site, result in the same OSHA Wallet Card issued by the Department of Labor. You’ll also receive an OSHA Course Completion Certificate as proof of your completion.
